I love English Blast friends because when we are together we can have so much
fun.  It is good to investigate with different people because some of us don't
know the answers all the time, so we can learn from our friends. I enjoy very
much sharing what we know.  

With English Blast friends I feel more comfortable and confident to make
suggestions and do things.  At English Blast the friends are kinder than at my
school -- everyone shares more and speaks nicer than at my regular school.  
Now I have confidence to answer a question even if it might be wrong at school,
though I didn't do that for a long time.  Now through English Blast I have more
courage to put my hand up at school, too.

At English Blast I like all the activities and plays and making crafts like the
volcano we made.

My favorite unit was Oceans because I didn't know anything except plain fish
before we studied this topic.  Now I know and understand so much about the
ocean and the sea creatures and the plants.  We visited the sea and learned the
names of different fish and seaweed.

I love to learn about different cultures, especially when the cultures are so
different from mine.  In the Egypt unit, we learned about the insides of pyramids
and about mummies.  When we studied Ancient Greece, we learned that girls
couldn't play sports or go out a lot -- they stayed home and sewed.  Boys were
fighting and learning.

I love family days.  It is one of my favorite things about English Blast.
